About Professional Learning Board
Professional Learning Board, founded by Ellen Paxton, MEd, delivers research-based, relevant, effective, respectful, cost-effective and timely professional development created by teachers, for teachers. In alignment with accomplished teaching practices, PLB constantly assesses and adjusts practices, continually improving products and services. Decisions and changes are driven by listening to, working with and learning from teachers.
Ms. Paxton is a National Board Certified Teacher by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. She has more than 15 years experience teaching and learning with students and teachers in K-12 public schools.
Applying expertise in instructional strategies and integrating state-of-the-art learning technology to design educational programs and courses that result in increased knowledge and performance for students and teachers provides PLB foundational services. Leveraging her experiences in workforce development, instructional design models, individualized education strategies, elearning, professional development planning, training and trends, Ellen Paxton leads all aspects of online professional development, teaching and learning programs for Professional Learning Board.
Professional Learning Board’s curriculum writers are also recognized leaders in their respective fields. All subject matter experts have successful experience in classroom teaching, professional development and real life application and transfer of material.
