About Us

Created over 20 years ago, Professional Learning Board®, a service of The Learning Factory, LLC, provides research-based online professional development for K-12 educators in all 50 states. Courses are approved by state departments of education and designed to be practical, classroom-relevant, and self-paced, so educators can complete them on their own schedule.

Professional Learning Board delivers professional development through two channels. Teachers take online continuing education courses through RenewaTeachingLicense.com, earning a certificate of completion, CEU, or official transcript to meet state license renewal and continuing education requirements.

Schools and districts use ConnectedPD®, which provides an entire catalog of 100% online, self-study courses along with a professional development tracker and automated reporting. With ConnectedPD, administrators can assign coursework aligned to each teacher’s professional learning plan and goals, supporting staff development while keeping teachers in the classroom.

The course catalog spans a range of K-12 topics, including current focus areas such as the science of reading, ethics in education and child abuse prevention. Over two decades, Professional Learning Board has established and maintained partnerships with regionally accredited universities, higher education institutions, and state departments of education.
